Plumstead Walk-in centre closed for urgent renovations

The City of Cape Town’s Plumstead Walk-In centre, including the motor vehicle registration and licensing offices, will be closed for urgent renovations and important maintenance from Thursday,12 May to Monday,16 May 2022. The walk-in centre will reopen to members of the public on Tuesday,17 May 2022.

The City advises residents to visit alternative customer care and motor vehicle registration and licensing offices during this time, or to use e-Services where possible. The City thanks residents for their understanding while the work is being completed.

Municipal accounts may be paid at any Shoprite/Checkers, Pick n Pay, PEP, Woolworths, USave, Ackermans, Lewis, Top It Up and selected Spar shops. Online payments may be made at www.powertime.co.za or www.easypay.co.za, and the renewal of motor vehicle licences may be made online at https://eservices.capetown.gov.za/

Payment of pre-due date traffic fines may be made at selected Spar shops or online at www.easypay.co.za, www.clicks.co.za and at www.paycity.co.za.

For account payments:

  • EFTs: Select the City as a bank-listed beneficiary. Use only your nine-digit municipal account number as reference
  • Retailers: Checkers, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Spar and Woolworths
  • e-Services: Use the City’s online e-services portal
  • ATM: contact your bank to add the City as an ATM beneficiary

  • Renew vehicle licences
  • Submit water/electricity readings
  • Pay accounts online
  • View current account and account history
  • Apply to receive accounts via email
  • Log service requests
